Bottom club Aston Villa’s hopes of avoiding relegation suffered another setback when they had Jordan Ayew sent off after 17 minutes for elbowing Aaron Cresswell before slipping to a predictable 2-0 defeat at sixth-placed West Ham United. Remi Garde’s side are winless in three matches with consecutive losses, including a 4-0 thrashing by Manchester City in the FA Cup. Norwich’s 3-0 defeat at home to Tottenham made it five straight losses in all competitions. The Canaries have shipped 17 goals in those games which is a huge concern for Alex Neil. However, with Ayew missing out, Villa could struggle up front. I’m going for Under 2.5 Goals at 13/20.
4/10 Liverpool | 36/10 | Sunderland 13/2 (17:00)
Liverpool suffered a 2-0 loss away to Leicester City, courtesy of a brace from Jamie Vardy. Jurgen Klopp’s side have won just once in their last five league games having lost three times. The Reds will be hopeful of returning to winning ways against Sunderland, especially with the fact that Sam Allardyce’s men haven’t beaten them in their last seven meetings. Liverpool have won five of those games, including two on the spin. Sunderland put in a spirited performance against Manchester City, despite losing 1-0 at the Stadium of Light. Allardyce would have been encouraged with the great effort from his players, but his side tend to struggle away from home. The Black Cats have lost five of their last six matches on the road and Liverpool are tipped to make home advantage count.
19/20 Newcastle | 23/10 | West Brom 28/10 (17:00)
Newcastle succumbed to a 3-0 loss away to Everton on Wednesday as Steve McClaren’s new signings failed to inspire the team. For a team supposedly enlivened by new blood, they were embarrassingly weak. There was no tempo or aggression to their play and the likes of Andros Townsend, Jonjo Shelvey and Seydou Doumbia contributed nothing. To make matters worse, McClaren lost defenders Chancel Mbemba and Paul Dummett to injury, while Jamaal Lascelles was shown a red card. McClaren will be hoping for an improved performance against West Brom this weekend. The Baggies are struggling to win matches with three straight draws, including a 2-2 stalemate at home to League One side Peterborough in the FA Cup. Restoring Saido Berahino to the starting XI could prove invaluable for Tony Pulis. West Brom won the reverse tie 1-0 at the Hawthorns, but drew 1-1 in their last meeting at St. James’ Park. Take them on the Win/Draw Double at 13/20.
16/10 Stoke | 22/10 | Everton 31/20 (17:00)
Stoke City have been struggling to find their rhythm in recent weeks. Mark Hughes’ side are winless in three league matches with consecutive losses to Leicester City and Man United. Hughes could ring the changes with Xherdan Shaqiri and new signing Giannelli Imbula expected to come into the side. However, the backline is a concern with Ryan Shawcross, Marc Wilson and Geoff Cameron all ruled out, while Philipp Wollscheid remains a doubt with a calf injury. Everton snapped a run of five league matches without victory by beating relegation-threatened Newcastle United 3-0 at Goodison Park. Roberto Martinez’s men are unbeaten in their last six away games in the league but have drawn five of those. The Toffees will look to the likes of Ross Barkley, Romelu Lukaku and Gerard Deulofeu, while new arrival Oumar Niasse will be looking to impress. The former Lokomotiv Moscow forward has scored 12 goals this season and his tireless nature should make him a popular figure at Goodison Park. Two good sides should share the spoils here.
12/10 Swansea | 21/10 | Crystal Palace 23/10 (17:00)
Swansea had to settle for just a point after conceding an injury-time goal from Salomon Rondon to draw 1-1 away to West Brom on Tuesday. Prior to that result, the Swans had won back-to-back games against Watford and Everton. Their opponents, Crystal Palace, are experiencing their worst period under Alan Pardew having lost their last five games in the league. It’s fair to say that has mainly come down to the long-term injuries to Yohan Cabaye, Connor Wickham and Yannick Bolasie. Cabaye is set to return to action this weekend which will come as a huge boost for Pardew, while new signing Emmanuel Adebayor will be looking to make an impression. Both Teams To Score is tipped at 19/20.
9/20 Tottenham | 33/10 | Watford 57/10 (17:00)
Tottenham are in a rich vein of form with five wins on the spin in all competitions. Their last victory saw them beat Norwich 3-0 at Carrow Road, thanks to Harry Kane’s double and a seventh goal of the season for Dele Alli. Spurs are above rivals Arsenal on goal difference, five points shy of leaders Leicester and two behind second-place Man City. Another victory against Watford at White Hart Lane would ensure more progress with City hosting Leicester. Watford did extremely well to earn a point against league champions Chelsea in their goalless draw at Vicarage Road Stadium. Quique Sanchez Flores is doing a marvellous job since taking over the club. The Hornets are deadly in attack with two fine strikers in Troy Deeney and Odion Ighalo. I’m going for Over 2.5 Goals at 8/10.
13/20 Southampton | 26/10 | West Ham 9/2 (19:30)
Southampton earned a commendable point away to Arsenal on Tuesday, thanks to a man-of-the-match performance from goalkeeper Fraser Forster. Ronald Koeman’s side remain unbeaten in four matches with three wins, keeping four consecutive clean sheets since Forster has returned. The Saints have been rock-solid defensively and clinical in front of goal, boosted by the arrival of Charlie Austin. West Ham secured a fourth win in six league games to stay sixth in the table with victory over 10-man Aston Villa. Slaven Bilic will be relying on Dimitri Payet and Emmanuel Emenike to unlock their opponents defence. The Hammers have lost just once to Southampton in their last eight meetings but have only managed three wins. However, the Saints are good form and should edge the win with home advantage.

26/10 Bournemouth | 23/10 | Arsenal 11/10 (15:30)
Bournemouth secured a vital victory in their pursuit of Premier League survival with a deserved 2-1 away win over Crystal Palace, thanks to goals from Marc Pugh and Benik Afobe. Bournemouth’s record £12 million signing Afobe has continued where he left off in the Championship with three goals in as many games for the Cherries. He will have a point to prove against his boyhood club Arsenal and keeping him quiet won’t be easy. The Gunners are stalling after a 0-0 home draw with Southampton left them without a league win in four games and without a goal in their last three, the first time since 2009. Arsene Wenger’s side are now 4th on the table with five points behind leaders Leicester. Arsenal will be desperate to return to winning ways to keep their title hopes alive.
