It’s the most wonderful time of the year, and it only gets better with more and more football. Yes, yes, player well-being and good rest and recovery aside, its December, for us in the South its summer and it just doesn’t get better than this!
Saturday 14 December
54/10 Arsenal | Draw 32/10 | Everton 9/20 (17:00)
Everton will have to remain incredibly compact here if they stand any chance, but with the attacking threats available to Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal I can’t see past the home win. I know that is pretty simplistic, but don’t look to complicate a pretty straightforward result.
Back the home win.
17/10 Wolves | Draw 9/4 | Ipswich 15/10 (17:00)
Wolves have been desperately unlucky, and I know I have now said that all week. They play really good football, but just can never seem to get over the line. Ipswich have been incredibly well coached, and they set up to give themselves the best possible opportunity…but that can only take you so far in the league.
Back the pack!
9/20 Newcastle | Draw 34/10 | Leicester 52/10 (17:00)
This will be a tricky game for Newcastle who seemingly blow hot and cold. Leicester have shown they are finding more and more confidence in their attacking outputs under their new manager and together with a bit of grit, have come away with really positive results.
For me, scoring is the play for both teams here.
44/10 Liverpool | Draw 28/10 | Fulham 6/10 (17:00)
Anfield will once again be buzzing for this and the difference they make to this Liverpool team is incredible. Fulham have been a difficult team to navigate at times, but I just think they catch Liverpool at a horrible time here.
The longer they take to give Mo Salah a contract extension, the better he seems to be. Back the hosts here.
7/10 Nott’m Forest | Draw 51/20 | Aston Villa 38/10 (19:30)
Forest will come into this game with their tails up – and rightly so. They were brilliant against a very flat Manchester United side. Villa have been at odds and ends during this season and if they don’t start well here it could be a tough old afternoon for them.
I’m on the home win/draw double chance here.
