Omar Marmoush has opened up about his positive experience at Manchester City and reflecting on his journey at the Etihad Stadium.
The Egyptian forward played a key role in City’s 2-2 draw with Brighton last Saturday, winning a penalty that Erling Haaland successfully converted before netting a stunning first-half goal from outside the box. The strike marked Marmoush’s fourth goal for the club, following his impressive hat-trick against Newcastle last month.
“The players and the staff here are amazing. I’m just trying to learn as much as I can and listen to the coach,” Marmoush said, as quoted by KingFut.com.
Although pleased with his goal, the 25-year-old attacker admitted that he was disappointed it didn’t secure a victory for Pep Guardiola’s side.
“It wasn’t the best feeling. We’ll keep going,” he added.
Despite the draw, Manchester City remains fifth in the Premier League table with 48 points from 29 matches, just one point behind Chelsea in the race for Champions League qualification.
“It’s a challenge, but we will do everything we can. We work hard, give 100% on the pitch, and hopefully, we will secure that place,” he concluded.
With the season reaching its crucial stage, Marmoush and City will look to capitalize on their remaining fixtures as they push for a top-four finish.
