Durban City FC have strengthened their squad with the loan acquisitions of Ronaldo Maarman and Siphiwe Mahlangu from Sekhukhune United, with both players set to remain at the club until the end of the 2025/26 Betway Premiership season.

Maarman, who came through Chippa United’s development structures before joining Sekhukhune as a free agent in July 2025, also counts Orlando Pirates among his former clubs. Expressing his excitement, he said in statement released by the club: “I’m thrilled to join Durban City FC and contribute to such an ambitious club with a rich history.”

Mahlangu, a versatile left winger, joined Sekhukhune in July 2025 after a spell with TS Galaxy. He echoed his teammate’s enthusiasm, stating: “I’m excited to be part of Durban City FC and ready to give my all for the team as we push forward in the second half of the campaign.”

Durban City are currently 7th on the Betway Premiership table with 22 points, and the new signings could help them push into the top five as the season progresses.

The team’s next assignment will be a home clash against Polokwane City on 25 January, where both Maarman and Mahlangu could make their debuts.
