CONFIRMED: Orlando Pirates Announce Another Blockbuster Signing

Orlando Pirates Football Club has officially confirmed a significant new addition to their squad, announcing the signing of TS Galaxy‘s highly-rated talent, Kamogelo Sebelebele, ahead of the highly anticipated 2025/26 campaign.

The 22-year-old joins the Soweto giants after a truly standout season in the Betway Premiership. During his time with the Rockets, Sebelebele made 29 appearances and found the back of the net five times, showcasing his attacking prowess and consistency.

His impressive performances didn’t go unnoticed, as he recently featured for the Bafana Bafana B side that competed in the COSAFA Cup, reaching the final before ultimately losing to Angola earlier this month.

Sebelebele’s versatility and impact on the field had caught the eye of several top-flight clubs, but it’s the Buccaneers who have successfully secured his coveted signature, underscoring their ambition for the upcoming season.

“Orlando Pirates Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of Kamogelo Sebelebele,” the club stated in their official announcement confirming the deal.

They further elaborated on his valuable attributes, noting, “Although naturally deployed as a winger, Sebelebele impressed last season with his ability to operate across the backline, featuring at both right back and left back when required. His versatility will no doubt be a welcome addition to head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou’s tactical setup.”

The Limpopo-born star will immediately begin his integration into the Pirates squad by training with the group that remained in Johannesburg. This allows him to settle in while the main contingent of the first team continues their pre-season tour in Spain.

The Buccaneers are currently based in Marbella, where they are scheduled to play their remaining two friendly matches against La Liga sides Las Palmas and Granada before returning home on July 20th.

Sebelebele’s arrival clearly signals the club’s intent to strategically invest in emerging local talent. This move is part of their broader preparation to challenge vigorously on multiple fronts in the forthcoming season, aiming for both domestic glory and continental success.

“From all of us at Orlando Pirates Football Club – welcome, Kamogelo!” the club concluded, expressing their enthusiasm for their latest acquisition.

Sebelebele isn’t the only new face joining the Buccaneers’ ranks. He links up with an impressive list of other new recruits, including:

Sipho Mbule (Mamelodi Sundowns)
Yanela Mbuthuma (Richards Bay)
Masindi Nemtajela (Marumo Gallants)
Tshepang Moremi (Amazulu)
Nkosikhona Ndaba (Richards Bay)
Sinoxolo Kwayiba (Chippa United)
Tshepo Mashiloane (Baroka)
Sihle Nduli (Stellenbosch)

This influx of talent highlights Orlando Pirates’ aggressive approach to strengthening their squad and setting the stage for a competitive and thrilling 2025/26 campaign.
