Orlando Pirates head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou expressed disappointment with his team’s attitude following their 2-1 Carling Knockout triumph over Magesi on last night.
The Buccaneers took the lead through Tshepang Moremi in the 51st minute at Orlando Stadium, with substitute Evidence Makgopa doubling the advantage in the 87th minute.
That being said, a lapse in focus allowed Lehlogonolo Mokone to net a late consolation for Magesi in stoppage time, prompting Ouaddou to call out his players for unnecessary flair and lack of discipline.

Despite the win that puts Pirates in the semi-final draw with Richards Bay, Golden Arrows, and one of Marumo Gallants or Stellenbosch, Ouaddou admitted to being less than impressed with Bucs’ finishing.
Speaking after the game, the coach told SuperSport: “We should have killed that game at half-time.
We should lead maybe three or four goals, and very nice saying that, unfortunately it’s an area we need to improve quickly if we want to be ambitious.
“Other than that, I want to congratulate the boys, it was not an easy game.”
Despite the criticism of his players, it was Magesi goalkeeper Elvis Chipezeze who walked away with the Man-of-the-Match award for his spectacular form to deny Pirates more goals.
“All the time difficult against these kind of teams, they are fighting.
They have a very big fighting spirit, we played some nice football as well, I think our fans were very happy about that,” added Ouaddou, who was critical of some unesssary showboating as the match continued.
“I have to say I was not very happy with the last 15 minutes, instead of going forward and scoring the third goal,” he said.
“I think we made some short passes, and I know the fans like that, and the players like that but for me I don’t like that I need to score more goals and we need to be more clinical. It’s very important for the confidence to score goals.”
Pirates are next in against against Mamelodi Sundowns at Loftus Versfeld in the Betway Premiership on Saturday.
