Cape Town City became the first top-flight club in South Africa to officially return to training.
The Citizens posted pictures on their social media accounts showing players arriving at their Hartleyvale complex in Cape Town on Thursday morning.
The club have made sure to follow strict safety and security measures due to the coronavirus pandemic.
City confirmed it had received clearance from the PSL to commence full training, in accordance with Return to Training Directive.
The club said on twitter: “Congrats to management who have worked around the clock to ensure we are one of the first PSL clubs to be fully Covid compliant.”
Teams will now follow Cape Town City in returning to training after complying with safety protocols to ensure a safe return to the first phase of training ahead of resuming the 2019/2020 campaign.
The Premiership will make a welcome return to competitive action after more than 100 days without any soccer-related activity after the league ground to a halt on 15 March.
No dates have as yet been given as to when professional football will restart in the country.
