We kick-off the weekend with a 9/1 Premiership Treble
Brighton to beat Norwich City (Sat 4, 13:30) is our first leg. As much as Man United fans, me included, were harping how classy United were when beating Brighton 3-0 away in midweek, the Seagulls rested several key players with this relegation clash in mind and when those players came on in the second half, David De Gea was forced to make several saves. The Canaries have lost their 3 league fixtures since the restart, including two at home without scoring a goal.
Wolves to beat Arsenal (Sat 4, 18:30) is my second leg. Nuno Espirito Santo’ side are sixth and have won five and drawn one of their last six league encounters, keeping four clean sheets in a row. Arsenal may have won their last two league matches but away from home, they have won one, drawn five and lost two of their last eight and have conceded in 12 of their last 15 away league outings.
Chelsea to beat Watford (Sat 4, 21:00) by More than 1 goal completes our bet. Frank Lampard’s troops were outfought by a gutsy West Ham on Wednesday, while defensively they looked vulnerable, so you can expect that to be addressed here. Watford, who have looked terrible at the back recently, have won only one of their last 10 league appearances, while away from home, they have drawn one and lost four of their last five.
With games coming thick and fast and with players getting back to full fitness, I fancy an Over 2.5 Goals Fiver around 14/1.
Chelsea/Watford, Man United/Bournemouth (Sat 4, 16:00), Wolves/Arsenal, Southampton/Man City (Sun 5, 20:00) and Tottenham/Everton (Mon 6, 21:00) are my choices.
Onto the Championship where an 12/1 Treble is our play
Fulham to beat Birmingham City (Sat 4, 16:00) by More than 1 Goal is our first leg. Scott Parker’s unit got back to winning ways in midweek when beat QPR 2-1 away, while they have won four of their last six home league fixtures. Birmingham have drawn six and drawn three of their last nine league games and were beaten 3-0 at home by Huddersfield Town on Wednesday.
Luton Town to beat Reading (Sat 4, 16:00) is our second leg. Nathan Jones’ outfit have won two and drawn four of their last six league encounters, winning two and drawing two of their last four at home and they drew 1-1 at leaders Leeds United on Tuesday. Reading have taken one point from their last three league outings, conceding six goals and were beaten 3-0 at home by Brentford in midweek.
West Brom to beat Hull City (Sun 5, 16:00) by More than 1 goal is our final leg. Slaven Bilic’s side ended their poor run on Wednesday when they beat Sheffield Wednesday 3-0 away and they have a great chance to cement their automatic promotion hopes here. Hull City beat Middlesbrough 2-1 at home on Thursday, which ended their 13 league match winless run, but they have drawn two and lost four of their last six away from home.
I like the look of a Fixed Totals Home Goals Quad, at 19/1
I fancy Chelsea and Man United to Both – Score Over 2.5 Goals and Wolves and Tottenham Hotspur to Both Score – Over 1.5 Goals.
