Orlando Pirates’ hopes of signing Asante Kotoko striker Yacouba Songne appear to have been boosted with his club’s general manager expecting him to leave.
The 27-year-old Burkina Faso international was spotted by Pirates in the CAF Confederations Cup, where he scored two goals and made five assists for the Ghanaian outfit.
And with Songne keen to leave the club, Asante general manager George Amoako says he won’t keep a player at the club against his will.
“I have already said we should take our eyes off Yacouba, because we have spoken to him several times and he doesn’t want to stay,” Amoako told the media in Ghana.
“We have received offers and we are still in negotiations. I once said supporters of the Club should just take their eyes off him.”
