Breaking: Former Sekhukhune United head coach Lehlohonolo Seema snapped up by topflight outfit.

Bantu Football Club, competing in Lesotho’s top-tier league, has announced the appointment of Lehlohonolo Seema as their new ‘Senior Coach’. The experienced 44-year-old will join the club’s technical team effective immediately.

Seema’s move comes after a somewhat turbulent spell with Limpopo based Sekhukhune United.

Despite impressive performances that saw the club finish fourth in the league last season and reach the final of the Nedbank Cup, Seema was initially surprisingly dismissed in April.

While he later returned to the helm following the departure of Peter Hyballa, his second stint was also cut short, with Eric Tinkler eventually taking over.

Now, Seema embarks on a new chapter in his coaching career, joining forces with head coach Charles Manda at the Maseru-based Bantu FC. The Lesotho club expressed their delight in securing Seema’s services, highlighting his proven track record in the South African top flight.

“The club is pleased to announce the decision to appoint Mr. Lehlohonolo Seema as Senior Coach for the senior team, effective immediately,” the club stated on their official social media page.

“Mr. Seema will collaborate with Head Coach Mr. Charles Manda in steering the team for the remainder of the current season.

The club further emphasized Seema’s qualifications and accomplishments, stating, “A highly qualified and accomplished coach, Mr. Seema has a successful track record, having coached prominent clubs in the South African Premier League.

We are confident that his appointment will yield positive results for the team.

“Please join us in welcoming him to the club.”

Bantu FC currently occupy the third spot in the Lesotho Premier League standings and will be hoping that Seema’s expertise can provide the extra impetus needed as they aim to close the seven-point gap on league leaders Lioli with just six matches remaining.
