After a difficult two seasons with Kaizer Chiefs, striker Ranga Chivaviro has officially signed with Saudi Arabian club Al Adalah Sports Club.
The 32-year-old joins the Saudi second-tier team on a free transfer after parting ways with the Glamour Boys at the end of last season.

A Tale of High Hopes and Disappointment at Naturena
Chivaviro’s move to Chiefs in July 2023 came with high expectations. He had an impressive run with Marumo Gallants in the previous season, scoring 17 goals in 30 games across all competitions and attracting interest from several clubs, including Tanzania’s Young Africans. Fans were hopeful he could be the prolific goalscorer the club had been searching for.
That being said, his time at Chiefs was a struggle. In his debut season, he managed just four goals, and in the following season, he scored five. In total, he netted nine goals and provided one assist in 45 matches across two seasons. His last goal for the club was in a 4-0 win against Free Agents FC in the Nedbank Cup on January 26, a trophy the team ultimately lifted.
Chivaviro’s struggles saw him fall out of favor, particularly after the arrival of coach Nasreddine Nabi. While he was a preferred starter initially, his lack of goals led Nabi to opt for other options like Wandile Duba and Ashley Du Preez.
Chivaviro’s last appearance for the club was as a substitute against Polokwane in the final Betway Premiership match of the season.
A New Chapter in Saudi Arabia
Following his departure from Kaizer Chiefs, Chivaviro was linked with several clubs, including Chippa United in the Betway Premiership, as well as teams in North Africa, Iraq, and Hong Kong. Now, in a surprising turn of events, Al Adalah secured his services.
Al Adalah announced the signing on their Instagram account on Thursday evening. While the club did not reveal the length of the contract, reports suggest that Chivaviro has signed a one-year deal.
This move marks a new chapter for the striker, who will be looking to rediscover his goal-scoring form in the Saudi second tier.
