Bloemfontein Celtic have officially unveiled their new signings ahead of the 2016/17 Premiership season.

Phunya Sele Sele confirmed the capture of seven new players at a Supporters’ General Meeting on Sunday.

Following a disappointing campaign which culminated in an 11-placed finish, Celtic have taken the necessary steps to bolster their squad ahead of the new campaign in an attempt to clinch a top-eight spot.

The reinforcements added to the squad include Cheslyn Jampies, Dean Hotto, Atusaye Nyondo, Mpho Maruping, Sibusiso Mxoyana, Tlou Molekwane and Khethokwakhe Masuku as well as Kabelo Mahlasela, who returned from his loan spell at Royal Eagles.

Celtic CEO Chabeli Motsamai revealed the reason behind the unveiling at a SGM, suggesting it was done in an attempt to welcome the new players to the team.

“Our supporters are the most integral part of the team, their passion and commitment towards the brand is unquestionable hence we saw the need to compliment such determination by unveiling the players at a Supporters General Meeting,” Motsamai said.

“Our delight emanates from the fact that our supporters who have devotedly committed their heart and soul to Celtic will be the first to see and interact with the new players. This will also be an opportunity for the players to be welcomed to the team.”
