Kaizer Chiefs‘ latest trialist, Mhleli Mabuza, has caught the attention of at least three Betway Premiership clubs as he undergoes assessment at Naturena.
Mabuza, who began training with Amakhosi earlier this week, has returned to South African shores after a breakthrough campaign in Portugal.
According to FarPost, the 24-year-old was crowned the Best Right Back in the Campeonato de Portugal following a standout season with Louletano DC, where he registered an impressive nine assists.
His performances have sparked interest from local clubs, with AmaZulu FC and Sekhukhune United reportedly keeping a close eye on his situation ahead of the upcoming transfer window.
A product of a KwaZulu-Natal football academy, Mabuza made the move to Portugal in 2018 after showcasing his talent in friendly fixtures.
Though his European journey came with its fair share of challenges – including adapting to a new culture, language, and playing philosophy – he has since grown into a confident and versatile right back.
