SuperSport United will look to bounce back from a poor run of form when they host AmaZulu in a Betway Premiership clash at Lucas Moripe Stadium on Wednesday.
SuperSport suffered a 1-0 defeat to Magesi FC on Saturday, their ninth loss of the league campaign.
Having managed just one win from their last eight matches, they currently sit in 12th place, three points above the relegation playoff zone.
Despite their struggles, the Tshwane-based side remains hopeful of securing a top-eight finish.
AmaZulu, on the other hand, are enjoying a resurgence under coach Arthur Zwane. They secured a 2-0 victory over Cape Town City on Sunday, marking their second successive league win and their third triumph in four matches.
Having started the season slowly, AmaZulu has climbed to 5th place and remains focused on finishing in the top half of the table.
The teams last met in early February at Moses Mabhida Stadium, where AmaZulu claimed a 2-1 win.
Historically, SuperSport have the edge in head-to-head encounters, with 24 wins to AmaZulu’s 18 from 55 meetings. However, momentum currently favours the visitors.
Floundering Cape Town City host TS Galaxy
Cape Town City are seeking a return to winning ways as they prepare to host TS Galaxy.
City find themselves struggling for form, having gone seven games without a win across all competitions.
In their last four outings, they lost against Magesi, Chippa United, Orlando Pirates, and AmaZulu – causing them to drop down to 10th position in the league standings.
Meanwhile, the Rockets come into the game on the back of a 2-0 win over Golden Arrows.
Impressively, Galaxy have lost only two of their last 15 Betway Premiership fixtures, and sit in sixth position on the table.
Richards Bay target sixth unbeaten game when they host Sekhukhune United
Richards Bay FC will look to extend their unbeaten run when they host Sekhukhune United in a Betway Premiership clash at King Zwelithini Stadium on Wednesday evening.
Ronnie Gabriel’s side sit 14th in the league with 18 points from 19 matches but have shown resilience in recent weeks, avoiding defeat in their last six outings.
Their most recent fixture ended in a goalless draw against Chippa United, while they secured vital wins over Marumo Gallants and Polokwane City during this run.
Sekhukhune United, currently 3rd in the table, will aim to bounce back after a 4-2 loss to Mamelodi Sundowns.
Before that setback, they were in strong form, enjoying a three-match unbeaten streak, which included wins over AmaZulu and Chippa United.
