Marumo Gallants will be looking to build on their recent victory when they host Stellenbosch at Dr Molemela Stadium on Tuesday evening.
The hosts ended a difficult run with a crucial win over Orlando Pirates, snapping a five-match winless streak that included defeats to Richards Bay, AmaZulu, and Mamelodi Sundowns.
Currently sitting in 13th place, Gallants are six points adrift of the top eight and will be eager to string together positive results to climb the table.
Despite their struggles, they showed resilience in their last outing and will hope to capitalise on home advantage.
“It is bad for us for the next few games because we play every two or three days, and it changes our plans completely because we need to find solutions for the players that are out,” said Gallants coach Abdeslam Ouaddou.
“I thought we did well with my staff; we brought some players in defence, and I thought they did well.”
Meanwhile, Stellenbosch come into this fixture in strong form. They are unbeaten in their last four league matches, including wins over TS Galaxy and Magesi.
Their most recent result was a 1-1 draw against Polokwane City, which kept them in 6th place with 28 points from 18 matches.
