Considered one of the most technically skilled and versatile midfielders of his era, Bernardo Silva started his football career in the youth system of S.L. Benfica, quickly standing out with his dribbling ability, vision, and creativity.

He made his professional debut with Benfica B in 2013, though opportunities in the senior squad were limited. In 2014, Silva was loaned to AS Monaco in France, a move that became permanent in January 2015.

His talent truly blossomed at Monaco, where he played a key role in their surprise triumph during the 2016-2017 Ligue 1 season, helping the team secure its first French league title in 17 years and reach the UEFA Champions League semifinals.

In 2017, Silva made a significant transfer to Manchester City in the English Premier League, joining Pep Guardiola’s squad. He made an immediate impact, with his tactical intelligence, tireless work rate, and ability to adapt across various attacking and midfield positions making him indispensable.

Over time, Silva became integral to City’s dominance in domestic football. He contributed to the club’s success in winning five Premier League titles (2017–18, 2018–19, 2020–21, 2021–22, and 2022–23), along with several League Cups, FA Cups, and the 2022–23 UEFA Champions League title, which completed a historic treble for the club.

On the international stage, Silva has been a key figure for Portugal, helping the team win the 2019 UEFA Nations League and participating in major tournaments like the UEFA European Championship and FIFA World Cup.
