It was the third successive clean sheet kept by a more resilient SuperSport side since Arendse took control of the top job after the sacking of Kaitano Tembo.
After taking the reins, Arendse says he immediately prioritised defence as that had been their achilles heel this season.
“I felt that we needed to start keeping clean sheets, we’ve had a real issue with that throughout the season so that’s where we needed to start,” Arendse said.
“We need to make it very difficult for opposition attackers because the reality is we’re not gonna score every game and we’re not gonna win every game so it was important we pay close attention to our defensive structure.”
SuperSport occupy eighth position on the league standings and finish the season off with matches against Swallows FC, Baroka FC and finally Orlando Pirates.
