Orlando Pirates head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou admits that only time will tell if Relebohile Mofokeng will be fit to play for Bafana next week.
The 20-year-old was replaced by Kamogelo Sebelebele after 62 minutes in the 1-0 Carling Knockout win over Siwelele on Saturday.
Mofokeng went down with an injury and had to be stretchered off, before Bucs captain Mbekezeli Mbokazi netted an 87th minute winner.
The Pirates midfielder was selected for Bafana’s upcoming World Cup qualifiers with Zimbabwe and Rwanda.
Speaking after the game, Ouaddou said it was too early to tell if Mofokeng will be ruled out.
He said on SuperSport: “To be honest, for now, we just finished the game, I cannot tell you anything about Rele – I think he played one hour and did well.
“I’m happy with what he did, we will see the issue, we will see if he is okay or not [for Bafana Bafana] but for me, he played one hour – I don’t have much to say about that.”
