Cardoso: I have a lot more to give

Former Kaizer Chiefs defender Daniel Cardoso says he still has plenty left in the tank after being released by the Amakhosi earlier this week.

Cardoso is one of several players to part ways with Chiefs alongside Samir Nurkovic, Leonardo Castro, Lebogang Manyama, Kearyn Baccus, Lazarous Kambole, Daniel Akpeyi, Siphosakhe Ntiya-Ntiya and Dumisani Zuma.

Cardoso, born in Johannesburg to Portuguese parents, joined Chiefs in 2015 and made 185 appearances for the club.

The 33-year-old has expressed gratitude to Chiefs and believes he still has a couple more good years in him to play at the top level.

"I just want to thank (Kaizer Chiefs) for giving me the opportunity to show case my talent and trusting in me for all the years I've been a part of this great football club… 7 years have come and gone, all good things come to an end!

"Time to close this chapter in my life and look forward to the new venture and future of my next destination! I still have a lot to give, and I will be coming back stronger. To the fans who have stood by my side through good times and bad times I appreciate thank you so much for the support," he wrote on his social media platforms.
