AC Milan Chairman Paolo Scaroni speaks on the sale of AC Milan and Zlatan Ibrahimovic

AC Milan Chairman, Paolo Scaroni, let the public in on the emotions he felt after he had just won the Scudetto and took stock of the future of AC Milan.

The Rossoneri president spoke about the victory against Sassuolo that crowned Milan as champions of Italy for the nineteenth time in its history: "It was a sensational day that paid off for all the anxiety I feel every Sunday before the games.

"It all started from that 5-0 loss against Atalanta in December 2019.

"It was a very bitter day in which Pioli could have been sacked.

"Luckily we decided the opposite and the virtuous period that led us to the Scudetto and to the to have the accounts more and more in order."

Scaroni also spoke about the future of the club and the possible new stadium: "We are thinking about a new stadium with 50-55 thousand seats.

"Today there are no bigger ones built, my ambition is that it will be full every Sunday.

"Transfer of the club? I have read that Investcorp has taken a step back, while RedBird has taken a step forward.

"The figures we are talking about show how well we have worked, both from a sporting and financial point of view in recent years.

"I hope that the negotiation will be concluded sooner and rather than on the actual beginning of the transfer market."

When asked about the future of Maldini and Massara: "I hope they can stay even with the change of ownership even if now I find it hard to make predictions."

Finally, Scaroni spoke of Zlatan Ibrahimovic: "Zlatan was a good prophet when he said he would lead Milan to win. I am not worried about what he will do tomorrow, he will find the right path."
