Mdantsane: I learnt so much from Chiefs

Mduduzi Mdantsane

Cape Town City midfielder Mduduzi Mdantsane has credited Kaizer Chiefs for playing a significant role in his development.

The 24-year-old former Amakhosi and Baroka player has been in fine form for the Citizens this season, scoring four goals in 12 games, in all competitions.

His abilities have been recognised by Bafana boss Hugo Broos, who has called the player up for upcoming 2022 World Cup qualifiers against Zimbabwe and Ghana.

Mdantsane spent a season in the Chiefs' reserves ahead of moves to Baberwa FC and then Baroka.

Reflecting on his time with Amakhosi, Mdantsane told Soccer Laduma: "I had a great time (at Chiefs) and I learnt a lot of things and some of the things are the things that I didn't know exist in football.

"I'm still using those things even now in my career and I am still learning even here at Cape Town City.

"It was from there (Chiefs) that I learnt that in football, you always learn each and every day by meeting people who come with new things for you to learn.

"Yeah, I was still young but I'm happy for the time I had there."
