AmaZulu eyeing revenge as they prepare to face Kaizer Chiefs

AmaZulu full-back Thembela Sikhakhane will have revenge on his mind when Usuthu take on a resurgent Kaizer Chiefs outfit at FNB Stadium on Wednesday evening.

The Durban outfit squared off with Amakhosi at Kings Park Stadium at the start of October and looked to be heading for a narrow victory before the visitors were awarded a controversial penalty late in the game, which was duly dispatched by Keagan Dolly.

As such, AmaZulu will be doubly determined to record a win at Soccer City, especially after rallying from two goals down to clinch a 2-2 draw with high-flying Stellenbosch FC at the weekend.

"We deserved the points in that game but you know how football goes," Sikhakhane told reporters.

"I can say Chiefs owe us because of what happened against them in the first round.

"The spirit of the players is high and you can see everyone is itching to win the points against them."

Sikhakhane's teammate, defender Samkelo Mgwazela, echoed his sentiments, saying: "Obviously it is a big game we're playing on Wednesday.

"The guys and coach don't want to lose this game because everyone knows Chiefs owes us.

"They got a late penalty in the last match and we were not convinced it was a penalty.

"Everyone is focused and ready to go and we're looking forward to playing this game. We don't want to lose it.

"The coach told us we need to come to the party and start moving up the log like last season."
