Hunt - We will approach Sundowns as 'best we can'

Chippa United head coach Gavin Hunt

Chippa United coach Gavin Hunt reckons their upcoming DStv Premiership clash with Mamelodi Sundowns on Wednesday is a "bit of an unfair fight" due to the gulf in class.

The Chilli Boys got their league campaign off to a decent start by beating Sekhukhune United 1-0 but Hunt acknowledges they will have to go up a few levels to try and compete with Sundowns.

In an interview ahead of Wednesday's match, Hunt said despite the challenge of playing a team like Sundowns his side would go into the game 100% focused and fight for a good result.

"It's a bit of an unfair fight, isn't it?" Hunt said. "Look at them [compared] to us. We will just approach it as best we can, we're going to try and do the best that we can.

"Sundowns is not in our league, we are in another league. They are far better than us but we will be committed and that's all I can ask of the players. We will be organised and we'll have a go, and you never know."

In reference to their opening match of the season against Sekhukhune, Hunt said he was happy with the chances his side had created and was generally happy by their showing.

"The positives were that we held our shape nicely and created a good few chances," Hunt added. "We certainly were the better team, we had the ball a lot, good possession of the ball when we wanted to and then we had to defend, we defended, so that was a good sign."
