Mosimane: We have to observe the health issues

Pitso Mosimane says it will take some time to get used to the measures put in place to mitigate the spread of Covid-19 upon a return to training.

Mamelodi Sundowns took the decision to base their sessions at the Royal Marang Sports Complex in Rustenburg, and away from Gauteng - a coronavirus hotspot.

They made a return to formal training on Wednesday ahead of the proposed restart of the 2019/20 Premier Soccer League season.

Mosimane was reported by FARPost as saying: "It has not been easy of course. It's a new life and we are supposed to have this new life as our normal life.

"But we have to observe the health issues. We have to be exemplary also on this thing."

The Downs mentor added: "When we meet we always meet at a certain time, we are always together you know, hugging each other because it has been three months since we have seen each other. But the funny part is that how do we meet? We meet on the WhatsApp group, where we greet each other on the WhatsApp group because everybody comes in and get his key room and goes straight to his room.

"As the rules have been put by the Doctors, no hanging around, no loitering so you speak to the payers through the WhatsApp group or through the phone.

"It is a strange feeling but it is the way the situation is and we have to respect Covid-19 and we have to understand the situation as it is."
