The 33-year-old Mokwena left Orlando Pirates to take over the reins at the Chilli Boys until the end of the season and the young tactician also brought along his 23-year-old assistant coach.

Mpangesi has welcomed the injection of youth in the backroom staff and says he looks forward to a bright new future with a new perspective.

"Yes, we've done enough now with old school guys [coaches]. Football now has changed; there's a little bit of technology; there's a little bit of understanding how the opponents play," said Mpengesi, as quoted by KickOff.

"Gone are those days where a coach will say, 'I'm only worried about my team; I'm not worried about the opponent.'

"So, coach Rhulani, with all his experience at Mamelodi Sundowns and Pirates, he has really brought a fresh breath now in our team. He brought the young guys, there is one who was born in 1997 - the assistant coach.

"For me, it's the first time I have a coach who is younger than me, so I enjoy this, and I wish him all the best."
