Williams has become the Bafana Bafana first-choice between the poles in 2019, starting five of Bafana's six AFCON matches.

The 27-year-old has been solid for Matsatsantsa, winning the man-of-the-match award in the 0-0 draw with Golden Arrows at Mbombela Stadium last Tuesday and helping them to MTN8 glory earlier this season.

And when asked if he would ever considering joining Amakhosi or the Buccanneers, the glovemen said it would only be for overseas if he ever left SuperSport.

"It's not a motivation for me to play for any of them," Williams tells KickOff.com.

"I mean I'm achieving things with SuperSport so why do I need to go to a different team you know? I'm happy with the setup here, they are treating me very well. They are treating me like I'm number one.

"So I don't feel the need to leave one of the best-run clubs in the country. I mean you don't read anything bad about this club you know so why should I change? I don't see myself playing there.

"If I had the ambitions to play there I would have gone years ago. And they wanted me but I don't have any ambition of playing there obviously. The only place I would move to is overseas you know. If the opportunity comes I will grab it with both hands, but you know it must make sense.

"I mean I'm 27 years old now, I'm a goalkeeper, I'm not the tallest, so I need to look at all those things, and I haven't been a regular starter for Bafana, it's only now recently."

Williams said now that he had captured the Bafana number one jersey, he would focus on doing his best not to let his grip on that jersey 'slip again', having first made his debut in 2014 but never having been a regular fixture between the poles.

"Ja I mean I'm still young and there's still a lot I can achieve you know, I mean things are going well for me now," he said.

"I've always wanted to be playing for Bafana so I've got that now so I can't let that slip you know. I waited patiently for a very long time. You know I was always there in the set up but now I'm there, I'm playing, I'm part of the team so that gives like a major boost for me at the moment. So I can't let that slip again. So that is my motivation."
