Komphela and Eymael have had plenty of run-ins in the past, with the former urging PSL clubs not to hire the latter because he believes the Belgian does not show any respect.

However, Leopards appointed the former Free State Stars and Polokwane City to take over after the sacking of Lionel Soccoia and Komphela hopes that Eymael has changed his ways.

"I'm not going to talk about that, and all I said is that I hope the people of Venda are respected, that's all. But if they are not respected again I will speak my mind. One thing about me, I speak the truth, and the truth hurts. I will say it as is," he said.

"You don't come disrespect and expect everybody else to be running behind your tale. I'm not a dog. Things that are wrong, they must be told as they are. The old time of white people dominating black people is no more, this guy must understand this is Africa, that's all."

The question remains whether the two coaches will shake hands when their sides meet on November 30.

Eymael faces a baptism of fire in his first match as Leopards coach at Thohoyandou Stadium tonight against defending Absa Premiership champions Mamelodi Sundowns (19h30).
