In his first season at the club in 2016/17 he enjoyed much better fortunes as he made 26 Premiership appearances, however, he has fallen down the pecking order in more recent times.

Hlompho Kekana and Tiyani Mabunda have often been the preferred starters though Manyisa is hopeful of making his mark in the upcoming campaign.

He told reporters: "I think it's part of football. Everyone has his own chance and you have to take it with both hands. I am still waiting for my chance.

"We have to understand that only 11 players can be on the field and so you have to wait for your own chance to play. We have to show the coach at training that you want to play. He is the only one to decide who plays or not.

"It's healthy competition. If you want to be the best, you have to compete with the best. Life is good. We are all happy and united. We do talk a lot and help each other.

"It doesn't put us under pressure. It's our job. We have to make sure that we deliver for the Sundowns family because we came here to play football and win trophies."
