Race 1: ELIJAH(1)
Race 4: GINGER SIOUX(10)

Race 1: ELIJAH(1)

Jockey: Muzi YENI - Trainer: Coerie LENSLEY
Just seven extremely moderate maidens go to post for this eleven-furlong opening event and obvious caution is advised. The in-form yard of trainer Coerie Lensley is well-represented and could continue the stable's rich vein of form. ELIJAH is only having his seventh career start and he made huge improvement when trying this trip, three weeks ago. He was well beaten into 3rd on that occasion but did make steady progress and can build on the showing. The bay gelding is now the mount of Muzi Yeni and he deserves plenty of respect.

Race 2: LEBEOANA(2)
Jockey: Nicholas PATEL - Trainer: Tienie PRINSLOO

The Tienie Prinsloo yard holds a very strong hand in this pinnacle stakes event and the pair of QUID RIDES and LEBEOANA could fight out a titanic tussle, with the slight preference for the latter. The five-year-old gelding has a smart record over this c & d and he finished just half a length adrift of the former over nine furlongs, three weeks ago. He performed well given the circumstances as he was probably still recovering from a venture to the Highveld just a fortnight earlier. He easily accounted for the former in his last c & d win and is now only 1kg worse off at the weights

Race 5: BODEGA(1)

Jockey: Randall SIMONS - Trainer: Stephanie MILLER
BODEGA clearly prefers racing against her own sex and she bounced back to form with a fluent last win in slightly stronger company over this c & d, four weeks ago. She was handed a five-pound penalty but is still well-weighted with a few of today's rivals and can follow-up. She has been defeated just once from three c & d attempts.

Race 7: TRUE VALOUR(5)

Jockey: Juan-Paul VAN DER MERVE - Trainer: Coerie LENSLEY

It could pay to follow the progress of Autumn Encore in the prior handicap contest as TRUE VALOUR gets the nod to land the victory here. This inmate from the Coerie Lensley yard is holding his form well and he was outrun late into 2nd by the former over this c & d, two weeks ago. That was a creditable effort from the three-year-old gelding, considering he suffered a bump in the latter stages. He has the early gate speed to overcome his awkward draw and should go close here.

Value Bet (Each Way)

Jockey: Gunter WROGEMANN - Trainer Stephanie MILLER

HEART FLOWER once again fluffed her lines when attempting the mile but this is her best trip and she will be a totally different proposition today. In fact, she finished well for 2nd behind the improving three-year-old LADY DUCHESS over this c & d in her penultimate outing and is now 5.5kgs better off with her conqueror. The daughter of Go Deputy is also drawn well and she can reverse the form.
